What does the ATS Readiness score color mean, and is green 65 actually good?
The color and the number measure different things. Green means the structure passed automated checks. The score tells you how far you are through the human review process.
The Send-readiness card in the Review panel shows two separate signals: a color with a state label, and a score out of 100.
The color comes from TrailScout's automated structural checks. Green and the label 'ATS Ready' means your resume has the sections, formatting, and structure that most applicant tracking systems expect — things like a work experience section, recognizable section headings, and no flagged or internal-note text. It does not mean your resume is finished or ready to send.
The score comes from the human review process. It starts at 100 and loses points for unreviewed bullets, incomplete readiness checklist items, missing basics like contact information or a professional summary, and bullets flagged for editing or removal.
A green card with a score of 65 is common early in the review process. The structure looks clean to TrailScout, but you still have review steps to finish. The score is telling you what is left to do.
The score thresholds shown in the score tooltip: 90 to 100 means send-ready, 70 to 89 means almost there, and below 70 means more review work is needed.
To raise a score of 65: mark your bullets as reviewed (or flag them for editing), complete all three items in the confidence checklist, and check whether any basics like your email, phone number, or a professional summary are missing from the resume.
